Event Insurance

Any group not affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis, will be required to provide insurance in the amount of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000), commonly known as Event Insurance.  Proof of insurance must be submitted to Waycross prior to the group’s arrival.

The purpose of providing event insurance is to protect event organizers, sponsors, and attendees from unexpected and potentially costly situations that may arise during an event.

Alcohol

The Episcopal Church has never endorsed prohibiting the use of beverages containing alcohol among adult members.

We desire an environment where we recognized that humans struggle from time to time to consume alcoholic beverages in ways that are positive, healthy, and in harmony with God’s purposes for creation.  Adults consuming and/or serving alcoholic beverages should be educated regarding conditions that might compromise the health and safety of oneself and others. Waycross has a responsibility to support those people who choose to abstain from the consumption of alcohol for whatever reason.
