Assistant Camp Director
Position Purpose: The Assistant Camp Director works collaboratively with the Program Director to provide high quality programming for a camp that serves 275+ campers annually. This includes recruiting, supervising and mentoring summer camp staff, and supervising program areas and specialty programs to ensure staff are properly trained and activities are being safely operated.
Qualifications:
Availability for pre-camp planning and preparation with camp leadership team (January – May, an average of 10 hours/month)
Availability for entire camp season, including staff training, camp sessions, and post-camp cleanup (May 27th-July 25th)
Age 21 years or older
A valid driver’s license
Minimum 2-3 years camp leadership or youth work experience; 3-5 years camp leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of or willingness to learn Episcopal theology, worship, and practice
Ability to work collegially as a member of camp staff
Willingness to accept the working conditions of an Episcopal camp
Have the emotional and mental maturity to supervise campers and staff in a camp setting
Current (or ability to obtain) first aid/CPR certifications.
Additional specialized program certifications preferred (lifeguard, archery, and climbing wall)
Must have current Safeguarding God’s Children training (provided if needed) and clear background check

Camp Health Care Professional
Position purpose: The Camp Health Care Professional is responsible for helping to oversee the health and safety of campers and staff. The Camp Health Care Professional attends to all medication distribution. The Camp Health Care Professional treats and triages illnesses and injuries of both campers and staff. They are also responsible for managing the health center and appropriate treatment and medication administration documentation. The Camp Health Care Professional works with and orients volunteer camp nurses.
Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare setting (for example: nurses, EMTs, etc.)
Availability to live on-site for entire camp season, including staff training, camp sessions, and post-camp cleanup (May 31-July 24)
Age 21 years or older
A valid driver’s license
Ability to work collegially as a member of camp staff
Willingness to accept the working conditions of an Episcopal Camp
Current first aid/CPR certifications
Experience in both children and adult illness/injury care
Desire to work with children and young adults
Must have current Safeguarding God’s Children training (provided if needed) and clear background check
