ADVENTURE CAMP

For campers who have completed 2nd-8th grade.

This is our classic summer camp program. Participate in a variety of adventure activities that build friendships and encourage personal and spiritual growth.  Program options include: archery, canoeing, arts and crafts, games, hiking, swimming, tackling the ropes course, Christian formation programming, and more. Campers also participate in an outdoor overnight that includes sleeping under the stars, learning outdoor skills, and cooking over a fire.

  • 1A: June 13-19, 2027 (registration closes May 30)

  • 3A: June 27-July 3, 2027 (registration closes June 13)

  • 6A: July 18-24, 2027 (registration closes July 4)

Sr. High Adventure Camp

For campers who have completed 9th-12th grade.

This session is designed especially for our high school campers who are ready to take their camp experience to the next level. Built in response to what our campers have been asking for, Sr. High Adventure Camp keeps the spirit of Adventure Camp alive while offering higher level activities with our oldest campers in mind. Through shared adventures and time in community, campers will have opportunities to build confidence, form lasting friendships and grow spiritually. Activities may include archery, canoeing, arts and crafts, all camp games, hiking, swimming, high and low ropes course elements and zip lines, team-building activities, an overnight camp out under the stars, high school specific faith formation programming, and more.

  • 2A: June 20-25, 2027 (registration closes June 6)

Ready - Set - Camp!

For campers entering K-2nd grade with an adult.

Ready-Set-Camp! is a session for our youngest campers who aren’t quite ready for a full week at camp on their own, allowing them to experience the fun and adventure of camp with an adult. Campers and their adults will get to participate in classic camp activities like swimming, arts and crafts and campfires. At the end of the day campers and their adults will spend the night in our cabins.

  • 2B: June 20-22, 2027 (registration closes June 6)

Lunch & Camp Activities Add-On
For campers registered for both Ready-Set-Camp! and Mini Camp, we offer an optional lunch and supervised transition between programs. After the Ready-Set-Camp closing ceremony, children may stay on-site under the care of Waycross staff, enjoy lunch, and join in fun activities until Mini Camp check-in begins in the afternoon.

This add-on is available for campers who have completed K–2nd grade. This option can be selected this during registration for a smooth and easy transition between sessions.

Mini Camp

For campers who have completed K-2nd grade.

Mini Camp is the perfect introduction to summer camp for our youngest campers! This half-week session is specially designed for children who are ready for their first overnight camp experience but may not be quite ready for a full week away from home. Packed with all the fun of camp - like swimming, crafts, songs, nature walks, and campfires - Mini Camp offers an environment where young campers can build confidence, independence, make new friends, and experience the joy of camp life.

  • 2C: June 22-25, 2027 (registration closes June 6)

Leaders in Training (LIT)

For campers who have completed 9th-11th grade.

This program is designed to help older campers transition from being campers to serving as leaders in the camp community. Learn about servant leadership and build communication and relational ministry skills. LITs participate in a variety of activities that include camp “classics” (swimming, arts and crafts, and tackling the ropes course, among others), team building, overnight campouts, and more.

• 3B: June 27-July 3, 2027 (registration closes June 13)

Family Camp

For campers of all ages (minors must be accompanied by an adult).

Family Camp is a summer camp experience designed for families to share together. Families can enjoy creative arts, adventure activities, and faith formation programming while making memories in the beauty of God’s creation.

• Session:

  • 4A: July 4-9, 2027 (registration closes June 20)

Teen Canoe Camp

For campers who have completed 6th-12th grade.

This program is designed to offer older campers a more active, challenging and nature-oriented experience than our traditional adventure camp. Develop leadership, canoeing and wilderness skills through an immersive, extended outdoor living and canoeing experience. Canoe/wilderness campers participate in a variety of activities that include camp “classics” (swimming, arts and crafts, and tackling the ropes course, among others), teambuilding, an off-site canoe trip, multiple overnight campouts, outdoor cooking, day hikes, and more!

Canoe Campers will be split into high school and middle school groups. High schoolers will take their adventure to the next level with a caving expedition.

Creative Arts Camp

For campers who have completed 2nd-11th grade.

This is our classic summer camp program with a focus on creative arts! Campers can anticipate extra arts instruction in traditional arts and crafts, music, drama, and culinary arts. Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of adventure activities that build friendships and encourage personal and spiritual growth. Program options include: archery, canoeing, arts and crafts, games, hiking, swimming, tackling the ropes course, Christian formation, and more.

  • 5A: July 11-17, 2027 (registration closes June 27)

Counselor-In-Training Program (CIT)

• Grades 10-12 completed

The CIT program builds high school youths' leadership skills while working alongside camp staff during a session. The CITs will be assigned to Adventure Groups to help facilitate activities and observe behind-the-scenes operations. CITs also participate in daily leadership development sessions.  Many CIT participants have become camp counselors at Waycross after graduating from high school.

Past participation in Waycross' Leaders-in-Training program is strongly encouraged. CIT participants will be assigned to one or more sessions. An application is required for admission.
