ADVENTURE CAMP

  • Session 1: June 16-22
  • Session 3: June 30-July 6 (runs in conjunction with LIT week)

This is our classic summer camp program. Participate in a variety of adventure activities that build friendships and encourage personal and spiritual growth.  Program options include: archery, canoeing, arts and crafts, games, hiking, swimming, tackling the ropes course, Christian formation programming, and more. Campers also participate in an outdoor overnight that includes sleeping under the stars, learning outdoor skills, and cooking over a fire.

READY, SET, CAMP!

  • Session 2: June 25-29 (runs in conjunction with Waycross' Women's Week)
  • Grades 1-8 completed
  • Information about rates and deadlines can be found here. Please note there is $75 nonrefundable deposit.

This shorter, four-day session is for campers who need to get acquainted with Waycross or who are new to camping away from home. Make arts and crafts, learn how to shoot archery, swim in the pool, take a creek hike, or play field games with new friends. Become familiar with camp schedule and activities while experiencing Waycross traditions for the first time. This session also runs concurrently with Waycross’ Women’s Week.

LEADERS-IN-TRAINING (LIT)

  • Session 3: June 30-July 6 (Runs in conjunction with Session 3 Adventure Camp)
  • Grades 9-12 completed

This program is designed to help older campers transition from being campers to serving as leaders in the camp community. Learn about servant leadership and build communication and relational ministry skills. LITs participate in a variety of activities that include camp “classics” (swimming, arts and crafts, and tackling the ropes course, among others), teambuilding, skills inventories, shadowing camp staff, overnight campouts, and more.

CANOE CAMP

  • Session 4: July 7-12 (Runs in conjunction with Hickory Hill Wilderness Camp)
  • Grades 7-10 completed
  • Information about rates and deadlines can be found here. Please note there is $75 nonrefundable deposit.

Explore the wonders of God’s creation while canoeing on one of Indiana’s lakes, rivers, or creeks! Campers begin their session at Waycross, where they learn primitive camping and paddling skills. Then, campers venture off-site to camp out and canoe in the Indiana outdoors. Trip locations and activities vary from year to year, based on weather conditions and water levels. Past trips have included canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and other waterfront activities.

HICKORY HILL WILDERNESS CAMP

  • Session 4: July 7-12 (Runs in conjunction with Canoe Camp)
  • Grades 7-10 completed

Live in simple community with nature, with others, and with God. Learn wilderness skills like fire building, pioneering, knot tying and lashing, outdoor cooking, and plant identification, among others. Hike, canoe, make nature crafts and sleep out each night in the Hickory Hill wilderness areas of Waycross. Grow personally and spiritually while learning how to live in communion with each other and with nature.
